In 1985, Clackamas Women’s Services (CWS) grew out of neighbors opening their homes and sharing what they had in hopes of building a safer community for families. Since then, we’ve grown beyond shelter to offer a wide range of services for anyone experiencing domestic and sexual violence, from initial crisis to long-term healing. We continue the legacy of working with survivors, community members, emergency responders, partner organizations, and businesses to build communities that honor and support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

Established in 1966, we began by providing Head Start services to families in our community from at-risk backgrounds. In 1973 we were incorporated as a non-profit and since then have expanded our programs to include Early Head Start and Oregon Healthy Families. We have grown so much since those early years, but our commitment to continuous improvement and providing the highest quality services that we can remains unchanged.

The Lawyer Referral Service gives referrals to people who are looking for a lawyer. There are more than 500 lawyers in the service. There are lawyers all over the state. The Lawyer Referral Service can help you find the right lawyer based on things like:
-
The kind of legal help you need
-
The location where you live or work
-
If you need a lawyer who speaks a language besides English
-
If you need a lawyer outside of Oregon
The Lawyer Referral Service makes sure that all the lawyers it refers people to are in good standing with the bar and carry professional liability insurance. The service does not rate the lawyers.
If you see a lawyer through the Lawyer Referral Service, you will get a first meeting of up to 30 minutes and not pay more than $35 for the first meeting. The Lawyer Referral Service does not know how much a lawyer may charge you after the first meeting.
Free help for separated, divorced, and never-married parents.

What they do:
In the simplest terms, we show separated and divorced parents how to build better futures by focusing on meeting their children's needs.
We charge nothing, and our only hope is that increasing numbers of parents and professionals will see the overwhelming advantages of abandoning the idea of separation and divorce as disputes in favor of a truly child-focused way forward.
Those goals are easier stated than accomplished, but we take a lot of joy and draw encouragement from grateful parents we hear from every day.
See the revolutionary ideas on how separated and divorced parents can save their money, their chance to make their own decisions, and their peace of mind — by acting first to meet their children's need for peace in their family.
Because peace for children is success for parents, you deserve to know the secret that's helped over 250,000 other parents.
